Avoid alcohol consumption for 24 hours leading up to your appointment to minimise the risk of excessive bleeding and pigment loss, you can consume these beverages after the session.
Schedule Botox or filler treatments 3-4 weeks before or after your appointment (only necessary in the same area as your tattoo). This ensures the overall symmetry of your tattoo remains intact.
Do not undergo facials, peels, laser treatments, tanning, or microdermabrasion within 7-10 days prior to your appointment.
Avoid activities that may irritate your skin or thin your blood before your scheduled appointment.
Refrain from taking medications that thin the blood, such as Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Niacin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and Ibuprofen. It's essential to consult your GP before discontinuing any medication.
Please do not apply any topical anaesthetic or numbing cream to the treatment area before your appointment, as we will take care of this using appropriate products to ensure your comfort throughout the entire session.
Extra things to note:
Bring Brow References: It's highly recommended and incredibly helpful if you come to your appointment with an idea of how you typically fill in your brows. You can also bring reference photos showcasing styles or examples you like. If you don’t have any, don’t worry! We will design the perfect brow for your features.
Sensitivity During Menstrual Cycle: Be aware that you may experience heightened sensitivity and increased discomfort around or during your menstrual cycle.
Blemishes, Sores, and Moles: Please note that we cannot tattoo over blemishes, sores, or moles in or around the brow area. However, we will make every effort to camouflage or work around these issues if possible.
Eyebrow Maintenance: If you regularly wax, thread, tint, or dye your eyebrows, it's advisable to allow a minimum of 2-3 days between these appointments and your tattoo session to ensure the skin has time to heal properly.
Retin-A or Retinol Products: You must discontinue the use of all Retin-A or Retinol products for at least 7 days before your appointment and for 30 days following your appointment. These products can lead to premature and significant colour loss. If you choose to continue using Retin-A or Retinol, please avoid applying them to the treated area. Please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any colour loss in your cosmetic tattoo due to this.
Skin Issues and Moles: If you have any blemishes, acne, cold sores, skin irritations, or moles in or around the procedure area, please promptly contact us via email for a consultation. We will determine whether the surface is suitable for work. Failure to communicate these concerns may result in the cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable.
